Intra-League Rules

Click Here for the 2011 IL Rules (revised). To the extent that our Local Rules are silent to a particular issue, then the North Metro Football League (“NMFL”) rules shall govern.

Division 1, Atlanta Colts, North Metro Rules
The North Metro Football League Rules (“NMFL”) found at http://www.northmetrofootball.com govern our Colt travel teams.
To the extent that the NMFL Rules are silent to a particular issue, then the Georgia High School Association (“GHSA”) Rules, as set forth in the GHSA Constitution and By-Laws for the most current year (found at www.ghsa.net), shall govern.

To the extent that the GHSA Rules are silent to a particular issue, then the National Federation of State High School Association Football Rules (found at www.nfhs.org) shall govern.

ACYA offers Flag, Intra-League, and Division 1 Colt Football Leagues. Each league is grade based.

Key Dates can be found on the Calendar

Flag Football: (Early: $85, Regular: $95, Late: $110)

• Kindergarten and 1st grade

• Begins September 7th, lasting 6 weeks, Wednesdays Only

• ACYA provides team shirts and flags.

• Flag Bowl on Homecoming Saturday

• Practices and Games will be on Colt or Mustang Field starting at 5:30 or 6:30

• Team dues average $20 per player

Intra-League Tackle Football: (Early: $295, Regular: $310, Late: $375)

• Recreational tackle football for 1st to 7th graders

• No experience necessary

• Evaluations begin in late July, followed by a draft in early August.

• All practices and games are played at Murphey Candler Park.

• ACYA supplies team jersey, shoulder pads and helmet

• Any 7th grader invited to play for the Colts will not be eligible to play in the Intra-League.

• The 1st/2nd grade Pee Wee teams have a two day a week commitment.

• The 3rd to 7th grade teams have a three day a week commitment.

• Team dues average $50 per player.

Division 1 Colts Travel Football: (Early: $295, Regular: $310, Late: $375)

• Competitive tackle football for 4th to 7th graders.

• Conditioning begins in mid-July

• Teams are formed by invitation only

• Any 7th grader invited to play for the Colts will not be eligible to play in the Intra-League.

• Teams practice three days a week for two hours each day.

• Games are played on Saturday at Murphey Candler or other metro Atlanta park.

• ACYA supplies game jersey, game pants with pads, shoulder pads, helmet.

• Team dues average $75 per player
